Sunshine Room
The Sunshine Room welcomes children aged 2 - 3 years into a loving and stimulating environment. This bright and open space is full of natural resources for open-ended play and encouraging those first steps of independence. Each day is filled with laughter and songs as standard, however we also offer a separate quiet room for books, naps, and cuddles. Activities and play in this room are entirely child-led, with a 1:5 staff ratio.
Rainbow Room
For children aged 3-5, the Rainbow Room is all about encouraging children to pursue their interests. There are areas for role play, water play, mark-making, construction, and so much more. Natural resources and educational activities are always accessible for the children to engage with, and our warm, open environment is the perfect place for investigating, making discoveries, and building those first friendships. The ratio in this area is 1:8.
The Garden
At Heads of Ayr Nursery, we believe in the importance of connecting children with nature. Our garden is a free flow shared space between all rooms, where children can engage in free play, and explore the world around them. Our timber-made play structures, tree house, tunnels, slides, and gardening corner provide plenty of opportunities for adventure and discovery. The garden is accessible in all weathers, meaning children can cool off in the mini stream on hot summer days, or help grow fruits and vegetables on cooler afternoons. With the surrounding fields full of farm animals to observe, and beautiful rural and coastal views, it is the perfect environment to inspire and engage, all whilst promoting a love of nature that lasts a lifetime.
